Find the above departments all in one group at
Those are a lot of busy radio channels, all scanning for your listening interest, but when the scanner locks onto a live radio transmission, other stations broadcasting might not be heard. That's why I have 5 radios at my disposal.
POPD units start with the numeral '12'. However, because the scanner is going through so many channels I notice that many times the first numberal "12' is not heard when the scanner finally reaches that live broadcast. Or in some case, a return reply from the station or car may not be heard. But when you hear location of incidents, you get an idea of what police department channel is coming over. After a while, after some time listening, you will get to know the dispatchers on duty, and just from their voice you will know what department is broadcasting.
SD units start with a '15'.
You can have another web site window, or program open, and still hear the audio coming from the radio reference.com web site.
If you hear anything significant, let us know so that we can share the info with others on the poan web site.

Case number 12-01-00202
On January 17, 2012, the North South Supply (above) and the Vertical Church Thrift Store (above) were burglarized. The unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the closed businesses by smashing the glass out of a window to the business. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole the cash registers from the businesses. At the Vertical Church burglary, the cash register was later found in an alley way outside the business. The cash register was not recovered from the North South Supply burglary.
On January 24, 2012, the American Legion (above) was also burglarized by unknown suspect(s). Entry was gained through a window of the business and once inside, the suspect(s) stole the cash register and several 1917 Military Surplus Infield 301 rifles. The cash register was later found in a wooded area next to the business.
